Mental health
Mental health and morale therapy can be traced back to the profession's roots a century ago. According to the World Health Organization, mental disorders are on the rise. Occupational therapists are one of the key disciplines in psychotic disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, development of creative skills in post-traumatic stress, development of self-care skills and social participation. They also work with sensory, perception, motor and cognitive training, occupational therapy approaches in obsessive-compulsive disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and learning disorders. Occupational therapy practices have started in community mental health centers in our country. Occupational therapists are included in the regulation regarding the functioning of these centers.

In nursing homes, the wishes and current capacity of the person being evaluated, and by working with meaningful and purposeful activities for the elderly, it contributes to the development of independence, quality of life and health.
vocational rehabilitation
Occupational therapists implement post-injury return-to-work and ergonomic training programs. They provide working training to prevent accidents in the workplace and reduce physical and mental pressures. In particular, they make workplace arrangements and work adaptations that improve hand functions and increase productivity in tasks and activities required by the job.
